Dancestars has a 100% pass rate with both the RAD and the ISTD for all assessments. We are immensely proud of this achievement and all the staff team take the assessment criteria for both the RAD and the ISTD very seriously and aim to train our pupils to the highest standard.
It is NOT COMPULSORY for your child to sit an assessment and they can move up to the next grade without the recognised attainment by the governing body.
Examinations and formal assessments help motivate and reward pupils for their time in class.
**Dancestars believes formal assessments are a great way to guarantee a strong foundation in technique and to promote performance skills. In addition the higher grades carry UCAS points and add cross curricular links with your child’s general education at school from Key Stage 3+.

Dancestars offers additional holiday workshop throughout the year an often employ other vocational teachers and companies to come in and work with our pupils. These workshops offer our pupils the chance to be taught by additional professionals in order to gain supplementary skills outside their normal weekly classes.

A non-syllabus ‘master’ class programme to nurture gifted and talented pupils within the Dancestars Company. The program focuses on technique, artistry and performance skill. Classes are taught by The Royal Ballet’s Roberta Marquez.
These classes support candidates in classical ballet technique to a ‘standard of excellence’ to lead to the possibility of long term vocational training. It ensures an advanced and exceptional level of classical ballet training at a younger age by a high class classically trained professional.
Dancestars encourages all its pupils to expand their dance training outside by auditioning for external organisations including London Ballet Company, London Junior Ballet and the Royal Ballet School. If your child would be interested in further information about some of these organisations contact the Office Manager directly.
